Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Number Sniper ("Number Sniper", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, search or browse our catalog of phone numbers, make a purchase, submit an offer, or subscribe to our email updates (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) when you register for an account.
- Order & payment information — the numbers you purchase, order totals, and order status. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's hosted checkout and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers — see How We Share Your Information below.
- Offer & negotiation information — offer amounts, counter-offers, and the timestamps of each step, tied to your account and the number in question.
- Email subscription information — your email address and subscription status if you opt in to our Daily Drop email list, along with the confirmation and unsubscribe timestamps.
- Search & usage information — the area codes and search terms you use to browse our catalog, associated with your account (if signed in) or an anonymous session identifier (if not).
- Communications — messages you send us through our contact form or by email, including your name, email address, and message content.
- Cookies & similar technologies — see Cookies & Tracking Technologies below.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account, and authenticate you when you sign in.
- Process orders, fulfill purchases, and provide the account number and PIN needed to port a number to another carrier.
- Facilitate offer negotiation between you and Number Sniper on numbers open to offers.
- Send transactional emails (order confirmations, offer updates, password resets, email verification, porting information).
- Send Daily Drop emails to subscribers who have opted in, and honor unsubscribe requests.
- Respond to support requests submitted through our contact form.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Understand aggregate search and usage patterns to improve our catalog and search experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret these signals, we do not currently respond to them differently than we would otherwise.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account, order, and offer information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. Search and usage logs are automatically deleted after 90 days. If you unsubscribe from Daily Drop emails, we stop sending them and retain only the record that you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again by mistake.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & correction — you can view and update your account information at any time by signing in.
- Unsubscribe — every Daily Drop email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also manage your subscription from your account dashboard.
- Deletion — you can request that we delete your account and associated personal information by contacting us at support@numbersniper.com or through our contact form, subject to our need to retain certain records (e.g., completed orders) for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
- California & other state privacy rights — depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to know what personal information we hold about you, request its deletion, or opt out of certain uses. You can exercise these rights using the contact details above.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including password hashing and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Where We Operate
Number Sniper operates in the United States and offers North American Numbering Plan (NANP) phone numbers. Your information is processed and stored in the United States.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us at support@numbersniper.com or through our contact form.
